Angul, Sep 15: Yesterday some unknown looters looted Rs 7 lakh from a staff of a contractor firm at Kaniha in Angul district. It’s stated that three miscreants on bike intercepted the person when he was on the way to somewhere in his car. The looters threatened him at knife point. A compliant was lodged at Kaniha police station in this regard.
Another similar incident took place at the Hindol road in Dhenkanal when miscreants robbed Rs 4 lakh from the dickey of a bike after intercepting it. Notably, Dayanidhi Sahoo belonging to the Talabaghalunda village had come to UCO bank at Hindol road for depositing the amount. The looters broke open the dickey lock and fled away with the cash.
