Cuttack, Aug 25: On Thursday, CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Mahaprayan scheme at Bajapur under Mahanga block. This scheme is launched at all district headquarters hospitals and three medical colleges in the state.
Under this scheme, Family members would be given vehicles to carry the corpse of their near and dear ones who die in hospitals to their homes that too free of cost. This scheme is a relief answer to the condition of the man who had taken all pains of carrying his spouse’s corpse on his shoulders for about 12kms as he was not provided with a mortuary van or an ambulance from the hospital in Bhawanipatna.
Alongside, today the CM has also dedicated 100 bridges under Biju Setu programme.
