Maharashtra decided to reopen all cinema and theaters in the state.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday announced regarding the reopening of cinemas and theatres in the State from October 22 in full compliance with health norms.
Maharashtra’s Cinema Halls & theatres were shut since last 18 months due to Covid-19 pandemic and series of lockdowns from March 2020.
Government shall issue a SOP in this regard soon, Chief Minister said.
The chief minister held detailed discussions with the Covid Task Force members, Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Dr. Pradeep Vyas and Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and others.
Some members of Bollywood and Marathi film industry met Chief Minister and discussed regarding the reopening of Cinama Halls & Theatres.
Maharashtra Government also permitted the reopening of most schools in the state from October 4 and all places of worship from October 7 with covid restrictions and protocols.
