Bhubaneswar, Jan 24: The twin city police on Monday arrested a youth from Bhubaneswar for allegedly having sexual relations with a young woman, making false promises of marriage and threatening to kill her.
Identified as Janmejaya Mishra (29) of Jagatsinghpur district, the accused was in a live-in relationship with a young woman from his work place in Bhubaneswar.
Notably, the duo fell in love 3-years back and late stayed together in a rented house at Nayapalli. Giving a promise to marry her, the accused had developed physical relation with her. However later he refused to marry her and threatened to kill her if she insisted, said sources.
Loosing hope, the victim filed a complaint at the Nayapalli police station, to which the police acted and arrested the youth yesterday.
