Bhubaneswar, Mar 18: In a shocking incident, a man attempted to commit suicide after his house at Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar was demolished by the Enforcement squad of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Identified as Rajkumar Tripathy, the victim consumed poison after BMC demolished his illegal possessed property. He was soon admitted to a city based hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
After the incident, the irate locals protested against the BMC and captured their vehicles, said sources.
