Maoist leader Hidma arrested

Koraput: In a significant breakthrough, security forces have apprehended Hidma, a top Maoist leader, in a joint anti-Naxal operation led by the Koraput District Police and District Voluntary Force (DVF) in Odisha’s dense Petaguda forest.

Hidma, alias Mohan, was reportedly involved in seven major violent operations against security personnel and was wanted by authorities.

The operation took place in the tri-junction area of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh, a stronghold of Maoist activities.

Koraput District Police and District Voluntary Force (DVF) collaborated to capture Hidma.

A large cache of Maoist materials and an AK-47 rifle were seized during the operation.

Hidma was reportedly an Area Committee Member (ACM) of the Maoist group. He was reportedly involved in seven major incidents of violent attacks on security personnel.

With Hidma’s arrest, security forces aim to disrupt the Maoist network and restore peace in the affected areas.
