Malkangiri, Feb 3: Yesterday late night, the red Rebels once again proved that they are still in power in the tribal areas. They killed a candidate of Bara village under Mathili police limits who was contesting in the elections for the ward member post. The name of the deceased was Dasu Dharua.
It’s stated that around 20-25 Maoists asked Dharua to come out of his house and murdered him. Earlier, the ultras had warned the tribal of Malkangiri through posters to not contest in the Panchayat Polls. They threatened that if anybody contests in the elections for Sarpanch, Panchayat Samiti member, Ward member and Zilla Parishad member, they would be sentenced to death. Besides, people who would go to cast vote, will also be given punishment.
