Bhubaneswar, Dec. 15: Sk. Mazhar Ahmed will lead the SOA University cricket team which will participate in the East Zone inter-university cricket tournament to be held at Darbhanga in Bihar from December 17.
A SOA University press release here today said that the other members of the 16-member team are Sujit Kumar, Avilash Das, Nihar Ranjan Lenka, Nilakantha Sahoo, Sidhartha Priyatam, Siddhartha Pattanayak, Biswajit Mohapatra, Ankush Mohanty, Swastik Mohapatra, Chandan Kumar, Sritik Ratha, Preetish Roul, Farhan Shaikh, Dinesh Patro and Sarat Kumar.
Besides, a six-member chess team (men) will represent the SOA University in the East Zone inter-university Chess tournament to be held at the Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar starting tomorrow.
The team comprises Kushal Agarwal, Antariksh Ghosh, Sourav Gupta, Syed Safdar Zaman, Srinibas Biswal and Sumit Kakkar, the release said.
Aparajita Mallick, Suprava Patra, Priyanka Biswas, Alina Priyadarshinee, Moumita Haldi, Nikita, Dimple Kumari, Pragatika Subhadarshinee Sahu, Summy Gupta, Shreya Mehta and Madhusmita Jena will represent the University in the East Zone inter-university Women’s Kabaddi tournament starting at the Utkal University on Tuesday, it said.
