Meeting on Anti-Maoist operations in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Mar 23: A high-level meeting at the DGP camp office here in the capital was held today to discuss on anti-Maoist operations. CRPF Special DG (central zone) Kuldeep Singh and other senior officials were present at the meeting. DGP KB Singh after the meeting said to the media that the naxals are mainly coming into Odisha from the neighboring state while chalking out the possibilities of activities of the local naxal cadres in Odisha. He further stated that two additional battallions of CRPF personnel have been demanded from the CRPF Special DG (central zone) Kuldeep Singh at the meeting. Also, joint combing operations, activities of red rebels in Odisha’s neighbouring states and ways to protect civilians in Rayagada, Koraput, Kalahandi and Malkangiri in Odisha were discussed at the meeting.
