Bhubaneswar, Nov 5: Today the senior Security Advisor in Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) K Vijay Kumar met the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here to have a discussion and finalize the Anti-Maoists strategy so that the Maoists menace in the state can be combated. Also the Central Reserve Police Force (DG), K Durga Prasad has come down to Odisha to discuss the further line of action of the Central Paramilitary forces which is to be initiated to stop the Maoist tension in the state.
It’s said that Vijay Kumar will also be meeting the senior State Government officials, the Chief Secretary AP Padhi, Home Secretary Asit Tripathy, Director General of Police (DGP) KB Singh, Special Operation Group (SOG) authorities. Based on official sources, a major series of action is stated to happen against the Maoists soon. As the encounter turned out to be a successful operation against the Maoists, the security agents of both Andhra Pradesh and Odisha have boosted themselves up.
Taking this opportunity, the Union Government has reportedly decided to conduct anti-Maoist operation in a meticulous way in order to ensure less damage to the security forces.
Notably,30 Maoists were killed on a joint operation carried out by the Andhra Pradesh’s elite anti-Maoist force Greyhound and Odisha Police.
