Mihir Das, Veteran Cine Star, Passes Away At The Age Of 63
The Veteran Cine Artiste Mihir Das is no more. He passed away at the age of 63 while undergoing treatment at a private Hospital in Cuttack.
He was suffering from kidney related diseases since last few years. Recently, he got serious and was admitted to a private hospital in Cuttack where he was on ventilator support and the dialysis was going on.
Mihir Das, one of the finest artiste of the State, was very popular among the audiences of the State for his powerful performance in almost all types of characters. The born-artiste Mihir started his career in theatres and later on moved to films & television.

He made his commercial debut in film ‘Ramayana’ and performed as Satrughna in the film. Later on, he acted in many realistic films as well as commercial films.
The veteran actor bagged the best actor award from the State government for his powerful performance in ‘Laxmi Pratima’, released in 1998, and ‘Pheria Mo Suna Bhauni’, released in 2005.
People shall never forget his performance in film ‘School Master’, ‘Pua Mora Bhola Shankara’ and many more.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the demise of veteran Ollywood actor Mihir Das.
Taking to Twitter, Patnaik said,
ବର୍ଷୀୟାନ ଅଭିନେତା ମିହିର ଦାସଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ଓଡ଼ିଆ କଳା ଜଗତରେ ସେ ଛାଡିଯାଇଥିବା ଅଭିନୟର ଛାପ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସର୍ବଦା ଅମର କରି ରଖିବ। ତାଙ୍କ ବିୟୋଗ ଓଡ଼ିଆ କଳାଜଗତ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଅପୂରଣୀୟ କ୍ଷତି। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।
