Miscreants loot SBI ATM, set bank on fire

Puri, March 30: In a daring daylight robbery, some unidentified miscreants ransacked the State Bank of India (SBI) Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at Delanga Bazaar in Pipili and decamped with the cash.

According to sources, soon after the loot, the ATM and the bank caught fire.

Though the exact reason behind the outbreak of the fire is unknown, it is believed that the miscreants set both the ATM machine and the bank on fire before decamping with the cash, the sources added.

On being informed about the incident, fire officials rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into the incident.
