Missing employee of Tumpei Post Office found dead

Dhenkanal, May 31: The employee of the Tumpei post office who had gone missing on May 12, was found dead near the Panasia forest here yesterday. Earlier, the cops had detained the deceased named Bhagaban Singh on May 12, acting upon a complaint filed by a woman of Dangapal village. Since then, Singh had been missing. Outraged by the death of Singh, post his missing for 18 days, locals today protested ahead of the Mahabiroad police outpost here and also blocked the Mahabiroad-Parajanga highway thus affecting transportation. Locals suspect Singh to be a victim of “police conspiracy”. Additional superintendent of police Harekrushna Pradhan has informed that a case has been registered based on the complaint of the locals. In the meantime, the body has been sent for post mortem. Further investigation into the case will be carried out once the report comes in.
