Modi on two-day visit to Sikkim and Assam

New Delhi, Jan 18: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will leave today for a 2-day visit to Sikkim and Assam. After arriving in Gangtok this afternoon, he will visit an orchid display and a seasonal flowers exhibition.

Modi will attend the State Agricultural Ministers Conference on sustainable development, organic farming and eco-tourism, in Gangtok. He is scheduled to be present at the Conference for over two hours, during which he will also address the gathering.

The Prime Minister will visit an organic products exhibition and interact with the organic farmers on Jan 19.

Latter, Modi will leave for Assam.

During his visit to Assam, PM will lay the foundation stone for a new building for IIIT Guwahati, and address the students of IIT, NIT and central universities of the North-East.
