More Rain from Aug 1; MeT Office

Bhubaneswar, July 26:  Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours rainfall of 7mm along with thundershowers thus having a maximum and minimum temperature of 32 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively by Wednesday. The relative humidity will be 100 percent at its maximum and 83 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT Sub-Division.

Moderate showers and thunder storms will be on in many parts of Odisha whereas in one or two places in North of the state may witness heavy showers and thunder storms till Wednesday. Interior parts of Odisha will be having maximum rainfall till Friday whereas rainfall will be at its peak in Coastal Odisha and North Odisha on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

On the basis of weather report submitted by the MeT officials, there would be an increase in rainfall from 1st of August, 2016.

The highest maximum temperature of 34.1oC was recorded at Sonepur and the lowest minimum temperature of 21.5oC was recorded at Bhawanipatna in the plains of Odisha.
