MoTA: Social development of Nagada people through development programmes

Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: The fact-finding team of two belonging to the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA)  visited the Nagada village in the Jajpur district and suggested of having development programmes for the socio-development of people there. It would submit the report to the Centre soon. Rupak Choudhury, deputy secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs along with Arun Singh, a member of the team had visited the place and said the same.

Two days back,the Union Health Ministry team of five had visited the hilltop village to note the situation. It too had urged the State government to take up long-term social welfare programmes.

Notably, on being appreciated by the Central Team for the initiatives taken up for development in Nagada, the state government has further decided to inculcate measures in order to bring about change in the livelihood of the Juang tribe that inhabits the village.
