Nabarangpur: In a tragic road mishap, three Odia workers died and 12 are injured, four of them critically as a pick-up van collided with a tractor in the Odisha- Chhattisgarh border near Bakawand Rajnagar near Kosagumuda block in Nabarangpur district last night.
The deceased have been identified as Dhanai Bhata, Purni Bhata and Dayabati Sarabu of Siriguda village in M. Koragaon gram panchayat (GP). They were workers of Pandanar Gujrati pharmaceuticals under Bakawand police station limits.
According to the information, about 20 to 25 workers were returning home when a grain carrying tractor coming from the other side collided with the pick-up van which overturned on the side of the road and the accident took place. The injured were rushed to a medical college and hospital at Dimarapala. Three of them died while being taken to the medical and four of them were critical. Dabugaon MLA Manohar Randhari visited them and enquired about the health of the workers.
