Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: The Aluminum measure NALCO gave 5 more Police Control Room (PCR) vans to the Commisionerate Police of Twin-City (Bhubaneswar-Cuttack) to further strengthen law & order.
The fleet of vans, costing Rs. 63 lakh, was formally flagged off by Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO and R.P. Sharma, Commissioner of Police, at the Police Commissionerate head quarters, here.
Speaking on this occasion, Nalco’s CMD Tapan Kumar Chand appreciated the role of Commissionerate Police in maintaining law & order, which has resulted in creating a conducive climate for industrialization and growth. “Besides public safety, the safe industrial environment is one of the key factors in attracting investments in Odisha,”
Chand observed. “Nalco, as a partner in the Police-Corporate Partnership programme, shall continue to support the Police of the State,” he added.
R.P. Sharma, Commissioner of Police, lauded the support of Nalco. “Out of our requirement of 53 PCR vans in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, 47 have been donated by Nalco,” he said.
Nalco Directors N.R. Mohanty, S.C. Padhy, K.C. Samal, Soma Mondal, and V. Balasubramanyam were present on the occasion.
