Bhubaneswar: April 20: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday warned his ministers not to go public with comments on issues which are not relevant to their departments.
Naveen’s warning came after few leaders of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), including ministers, made statements in public targeting Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare minister Sanjay Dasburma over his alleged relationship with AT group.
Talking to Media, BJD spokesperson Sashi Bhusan Behera said, “The Chief Minister has asked his ministers to speak only on issues which are relevant to their own departments.If there is a need to speak on other issues, the spokespersons of the party have the authority to do so’.
Several BJD leaders like Excise Minister Damodar Rout, Sambalpur MP Nagendra Pradhan, Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab, Dhenkanal MP Tathagat Satapathy, Minister Bijayshree Routray, MP Ladukeshar Swain and senior leader Surendra Nayak have already commented on the issue.
