Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed officials to ensure cleanliness in areas affected by flood to control the spread of water-borne diseases.
Patnaik during a video conferencing programme, said the situation is under control in Koraput, Kalahandi, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts.
The Chief Minister directed the collectors of these districts to focus on providing healthcare to people and submit estimate of losses within seven days after water recedes from these area and asked the engineering departments to submit a report to the government about the loss of public property.
Patnaik suggested the officials to provide financial assistance to the kin of people, who lost their lives due to the flood and reviewed the rescue and relief operations in the districts.
