Nayagarh, Nov 22: A groom was arrested just before leaving for the marriage procession to his would be bride’s house, in Nayagarh district on Monday.
The Daspalla Police arrested a groom, Pankaj Sahoo of Krushnachandrapur Patana Village on Mondayevening for cheating a young woman on the pretext of marrying her.
They both were in a relationship and the accused had developed a physical touch with the victim, making her pregnant. But Pankaj’s Family had already chosen a girl in their village, with his consent. And the arrest came in as a real surprise when both families were in a hurry for the marriage ceremony. A complain was raised by the victim.
