New Delhi, Oct 19: In the wake of blockade by Madhesi parties protesting against the new Constitution in Nepal, the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa on Sunday met Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss the situation in the Himalayan country.
At the meeting, Singh hoped that the new PM K P Sharma Oli will carry all sections of the society to maintain peace and stability in Nepal.
More than 40 people have died in clashes between police and the protesters as a result of Madhesis and Tharu ethnic groups’ agitation demanding splitting Nepal into 7 federal provinces.
