Bhubaneswar, Jan 23: Central University of Orissa, Koraput Vice-Chancellor Prof Sachidananda Mohanty has inaugurated a new academic block at its main campus at Sunabeda on Friday.
All the members of the staff, students and locals attended the opening ceremony. The state-of- the-art building is the third of its kind in the main campus.
On the occasion Prof. Mohanty expressed gratitude to the CPWD for timely completion of the project. “Action oriented motive of a leader is the path to success for an institution and the academic community should join hands in making this university an example for others to emulate.
The university is a place where miracles happen through intellect. The students were also urged to do their duty in an honest manner which will lead to prosperity and development of the nation,” observed the VC.
The VC also visited the adopted villages after the inauguration ceremony and took stock of development works carried out by the university. Interacting with the villagers, he assured them of providing complete sanitation facilities with the help and co-operation from district administration.
He also expressed confidence that in the days to come, the university will provide free adult literacy and free healthcare facility to the villagers in the adopted villages.
