Rourkela, Feb 5: A New Digital Information Board was inaugurated in the Steel Melting Shop-II Department of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) by Mr. Ashwini Kumar ED (Works) on 5th February. Mr. P. K. Amatya, GM In-charge (Steel), Mr Gautam Banerjee, DGM In Charge, SMS-II and many other Senior Other Officers and a large number of employees were present on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning here that, the digital display board is the first of its kind in Rourkela Steel Plant and it displays all the information pertaining to production status, target and achievements. The above data is being fed through Radio Remote Transmitter from Production Cell of SMS-II and being displayed in the digital information board located in the BOF shop of SMS-II.
At a time when the role of every employee has become very crucial in helping the Company sail through the turbulent times this initiative will inspire and motivate others to think out of the box. The Digital Information Board will not only help the employees of SMS-II Department to get the regular updates, it will also inform the employees the challenges and targets on a day to day basis. The New System will work as an catalyst for the SMS-II collective helping it overcome the upcoming challenges.
The entire job has been carried out by the SMS-II Electrical collective under the guidance of Mr D.K. Mishra, DGM In-charge, SMS-II (Electrical).
