New projects inaugurated by CM in Bolangir and Titilagarh

Bolangir, Nov 10: Taking steps towards adding news projects in the people-oriented programme undertaken by the State government, 21 new project works with estimated cost of Rs 500 crore have been inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bolangir today. He also laid foundation stones for the projects.

The Chief Minister was welcomed by Asish Thakre, District Collector after he arrived at the helipad in Loisingha College.

Along with the Chief Minister, Jogendra Behera, Local Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise, Ananga Udaya Singh Deo, member of Rajya Sabha, Srimayee Mishra, Mahila Vikash Nigam chairperson were also were present at the inaugural event.

The CM addressed a public meeting later where he spoke about the various programmes for the people. However, a protest was observed by the BJP workers at the meeting venue as they showed black flags to the CM following which three BJP workers were arrested by the police.

After visiting Bolangir, the CM visited Titlagarh where he inaugurated 18 new projects and laid foundation stones for the upcoming projects in the area.

Keeping in view the security of the Chief Minister, three tier security arrangements were made by police in the district that were supervised by the district SP and Northern Range DIG.
