Bhubaneswar, Jan 11: Sleuths of National Investigation Agency (NIA) undertook a ‘Simulation Exercise’ on Sunday into the train burning incident at Puri railway station on November 12 in its bid to elicit more information from the main accused Ramachandra Subhas.
The exercise is being held on Monday too.
The NIA exercise is aimed at recreating the sequence as to how the fire broke out and how many persons besides main accused Ramchandran Subash were involved.
District officials cooperated with the NIA officials in the exercise, sources said.
Besides, the NIA also sought help from a team of doctors and an ambulance to make the exercise successful, they added.
Notably, two coaches each of Nandankanan Express and Tirupati Express and one coach of Puri-Howrah Express were reduced to ashes on November 12 in a bizarre incident.
