Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met BJP president JP Nadda in Patna on Tuesday.
The two leaders spent a few minutes together, discussing political matters concerning the state, where assembly polls are scheduled later this year.
Nadda reached Bihar on Monday to attend the wedding of a BJP leader in Gaya.
He is likely to return after the centenary function of Patna Medical College and Hospital, which is to be attended by President Draupadi Murmu.
Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar’s son has opened up on politics but kept his cards close to chest on his own entry.
Son Nishant on Tuesday hoped that the JD(U), headed by his father, would improve its performance in the assembly polls due later this year as compared with 2020 when it lost the status of senior NDA partner in the state.
In his most candid conversation with the press so far, the reclusive 47-year-old urged the people to vote for the party and asked the cadre to pull up its socks, while keeping cards close to the chest on speculations about his own entry into politics.
