No decision to shift the Regional Office of ICCR from Bhubaneswar:

Bhubaneswar: May 20: Replying to a letter from Union Minister of Petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan regarding closure of Regional Office of ‘Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)’, operating at Bhubaneswar, Chairman of ICCR Vinay Sahasrabuddhe made it  very clear that, Regional office of ICCR will not be closed in Odisha.

After receiving the letter from Dharmendra Pradhan, Chairman ICCR immediately conveyed that there is no such decision to close the office.

Pradhan in his letter to Sahasrabuddhe said, since the year 2009, ICCR Regional Office is operating from Pallaspalli, Bhubaneswar and it has a great role in promoting the culture of Odisha.

It is to be noted here, protesting the decision to close Bhubaneswar Chapter of ICCR, Employees of Regional office have given a memorandum to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Pradhan has forwarded their memorandum to the Chairman of ICCR with a request letter not to close the ICCR Regional office here at Bhubaneswar.
