Bhubaneswar, Sept 12: As no such significant steps have been taken by the government, the Odisha State School Coordination’s Association (OSSCA) today issued a notification and also stated 6-point charter of demands.
As per the notification, OSSCA has alleged that the termination of 1057 school coordinators by the IL & FS on the basis of government order is unlawful.
By demanding reappointment of terminated school coordinators, OSSCA had staged a demonstration on March 16 and after education minister’s intervention in the matter, they had stopped the demonstration. Later, the coordinators also decided to return to their job but after a sudden release of a notification regarding the termination by the State government, the coordinators were unable to join.
The demand includes reappointment of all terminated computer teachers, to take steps regarding the inappropriate termination of 1057 coordinators, complete wind up of inappropriate termination system, government to follow the high court order and to listen to the grievances of school coordinators.
In the notification they also mentioned that, if no proper steps are taken by the government, the OSSCA will stage a 24×7 hours demonstration. Besides, no family member will give their vote in the upcoming Panchayat polls. Further, they will stir up strike by calling all IT workers.
