No Voting at Brahmanchhai Gram Panchayat, after poll violence reports:SEC

Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: Following a decline in law and order situation in the area, after a Sarpanch candidate died in a poll related violence case, the voting process was annulled in Brahman sahi gram panchayat in Ganjam district, says SEC.

Identified as Bulu Pradhan, also a Samiti member candidate was killed in a group clash at Brahman Sahi under the Hinjili police limits. Along with, 10 other were also injured in the clash. While 2 of them were admitted to Hinjili hospital in a critical condition, 8 others were admitted to MKCG hospital Berhampur.

In the meantime, the final phase polling has started today at 26 districts for the post of 16,148 ward members, 1173 GPs and 150 Zilla Parishad seats.
