Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: For remaining absent from their places of posting for a long period, 120 doctors have been served notices by the State government’s Health and Family Welfare department.
The notice has been issued against these doctors after finding them allegedly remaining absent from their duty for two years. Besides, the doctors have been given 15 days’ time to report back to the duty failing which, strict disciplinary action will be taken.
It may be recalled that in November 2015, the State government had dismissed 408 doctors as they remained absent from their places of posting for long periods without any necessary permission.
