NROs’ meet 2017 to be inaugurated by President of India on Jan 6 in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi, Dec 26: Organized by ‘Odisha Forum’, the three day long ‘Prabasi Odia Sammilani-2017’ will start from Jan 6. It will be inaugurated by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee in Bhubaneswar.

This was informed by the Forum’s president Gokul Patnaik. He further informed that, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Petroleum and Natural gas Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan will be attending the event.

During this three-day long event, some Non-Resident Odias (NROs) will be honored by the President.

A photo exhibition named ‘Resurgent Odisha’ will be hosted by the forum on this occasion. Around 30 stalls showcasing Odisha’s achievement in the fields of art, culture, handicrafts, books and paintings will be established.

‘Udyagami Odisha’ a seminar will be held consisting of Odisha’s five political parties in which they will be informed about the current and future strategies of the state and another seminar based on Odisha’s art, culture and sports named ‘Odisha the Soft Power’  will also be conducted during the event.
