OCA to put election on hold: SC orders

Cuttack, Aug 29: Yesterday the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) made a decision to put its election on hold on the basis of the directive of the Supreme Court. OCA secretary, Asirbad Behera informed this o the media. In the AGM and council body meeting, the agenda of audited statement of accounts for the year 2015-16 was passed. The annual budget for 2016-17, tentative budget of over Rs 3 crore for the ensuing one-day international between India and England at the Barabati stadium on January 19 next year and the secretary’s report were also passed in the meeting.

The agenda on the age fudging of players, which is being investigated by the CBI was also passed in the meeting. Regarding necessary steps to be initiated for the one-day international match between India and England on January 19 by the OCA, Behera said that as per the guidelines laid down by the BCCI and OCA, chairs at Barabati stadium had been numbered earlier. Furthermore, the ticket prices have also been revised.

The price of the ticket for gallery no-1 and 3 will be Rs 600 instead of Rs 500 while the price of the ticket for the special enclosure will be Rs 2000 instead of Rs 1500.
