Odisha acquires the third place in Ranji Trophy quarter-finals after 15 years

Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: After a long wait of 15 years, Odisha is all set to play in the quarter-final of Ranji Trophy. With Saurashtra registering a win over Delhi by five runs and crashing the opponent out of the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season, roads to the quarter-final was cleared for Odisha.

Odisha has joined Karnataka and Jharkhand as the third qualifier from Group B with 22 points. Irrespective of the result in their final group fixture against Jharkhand in Thiruvananthapuram starting from December 15, Odisha will play in the quarter final. This will be Odisha’s first Ranji Trophy quarter-final appearance since 2000-01.
