Bhubaneswar: May 2 : Assembly witnessed uproarious scenes today demanding dismissal of Justice M M Das from the post of Chairman, Chit Fund Commission and resignation of Minister Sanjay Dasburma.
As soon as the house begins, Opposition BJP and Congress legislators entered into to the well of the house and demanded ouster of Justice MM Das over his remarks on refund of money to the investors in chit fund company during a programme organised by BJD legal cell on the occasion of Madhusuadan Das’ s birth anniversary. BJP members displayed posters demanding the ouster of M M Das.
BJP legislator Pradeep Purohit said, ‘We demanded a ruling from speaker on Chief Minister’s reply over the Justice M M Das issue, but Speaker Niranjan Pujari did not allow for discussion’.
Opposition Chief Whip Taraprasad Bahinipati said, ‘We demanded ouster of Justice M M Das and resignation of Minister Sanjay Das Burma. But, nothing has happened. So, we have been demanding discussion on this. But, Speaker is not allowing’.
BJD spokesperson said, ‘Opposition are repeatedly trying to disrupt the house proceedings. They are raising the issues to get political mileage out of it. We are rather focusing how the duped investors will get back their money’.
Due to uproarious scenes, Speaker adjourned the house for two times today.
