Bhubaneswar, April 26 : First day of second phase of the Budget session of Odisha Assembly adjourned due to unruly scenes over the chit fund issue till 3 pm.
At the start of the session today, both BJP and Congress demanded for a ruling on the notice served earlier for an adjournment motion over the chit fund issue. But, the speaker Niranjan Pujari rejected the proposal and ordered to start the question hour. Getting irritated over the rejection of proposal, the legislators rushed to the well of the house and shouted at the speaker demanding the adjournment motion. Also, they tried to snatch the mike of the speaker.
BJP and Congress Party legislatures said, they wanted the matter of chit fund to be discussed in the house for larger interests of poor investors. BJD said, all parties must respect the ruling of the speaker.
