Bhubaneswar, Apr 14: As one day is left before BJP’s grand National Executive Meet starting from Apr 15, tomorrow, today the Party President, Amit Shah has arrived at the capital city. According to sources, Shah arrived at the city airport at 1.20 pm.
Upon arriving here, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, Shah would garland the statue of ‘Baba Saheb’. Post this, Shah is scheduled to attend the celebrations marking the Odia New Year organized at party headquarters. Other state leaders will also be present there. Late afternoon, a private meeting is to be held between Shah and other party leaders where the main objective would be to have a final review of all the preparations been made for welcoming the PM to the state.
Posters and banners of both the party president and the prime minister are placed at major areas of the city roads. It is seen as if the roadways from BPIA to Janta Maidan are completely saffronized with the display of the party flags orange and red in colour. Also, hoardings having pictures of 13 different CMs of states have been put up.
The posters of top party cadre leaders such as members of party parliamentary board, LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sushma Swaraj among others who are scheduled to take part in the meeting have also been put up on important marks of the capital city.
