Bhubaneswar: September 04: Addressing a Press Conference here on Sunaday, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said, ‘Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is good in copying schemes of other states.’ He said, ‘Violence against women has been increasing day by day in the state and to divert the attention from it, Chief Minister announced the Biju Kanya Ratna Yojana’. Sharma further added, ‘Biju Kanya Ratna Yojana is as similar as ‘Ladli Laxmi Yojana’ announced by Madhya Pradesh’. Also, he has criticised Chief Minister for remote launching of projects sitting at State Secretariat. He questioned, ‘Is Naveen Babu afraid of opposition as recently ruling party leaders were humiliated in different parts of Odisha?’ BJD refuted the allegations made by BJP spokesperson. BJD Leader Prashanta Nanda said, ‘Schemes like Mamata Yojana and Harischandra Yojana are the indigenous programmes. State government is launching different schemes as required by its people.’
