Bhubaneswar: February 01: Chief Minister of Odisha felicitated the government agencies like Bhubaneswar Development Authority, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, Odisha Mining Corporation, Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation, officials from Sports, Tourism and Works Department for successfully conducting the ‘Men’s Hockey World Cup’.
Odisha CM expressed his happiness that, Odisha got global recognition as Sports destination because of the relentless effort by the officials of various departments of Government of Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion further, Naveen Patnaik said, his government will make Odisha the Sports Capital of India.
CM lauded the officials and said, ‘I know how much hard work each one of you has put into it to make it huge success. It is the success of Team Odisha, the finest example of team work’.
It is to be noted, the Mega sporting event ‘Men’s Hockey World Cup’ was organised from November 28 to December 16. Besides, the State Government also organised grand opening ceremonies at Bhubaneswar and Cuttack with Bollywood Celebrities.
