Bhubaneswar: December 19: ‘SARGIFUL’ the State Level Students’ Festival to explore the hidden talent of ST & SC Students reading in the ST & SC Development Department Schools, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today at Adivasi Padia here at Bhubaneswar.
Inaugurating the 3-day long 9th State Level Students’ Festival ‘SARGIFUL’ -2018’ for the SC & ST students’, Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction as success rate of SC & ST students’ has been increasing year by year.
Motivating the students for education, Chief Minister said, ‘You should all study well. Also you should motivate all the children of your surroundings to go for schooling and education.”
Naveen Patnaik also spoke about the various steps taken by the State Government for the development of SC and ST students.
Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for ‘Janajati Haat’ (Tribal Haat) at Adivasi Paddia.
‘SARGIFUL’ the State Level Students’ Festival started in the year 2010 with an objective to explore the hidden talent of ST & SC Students reading in the ST & SC Development Department Schools. This year, ‘SARGIFUL’ is going to celebrate its ninth anniversary. It will be held from today (December 19) to December 21 for 3 days at Adivasi Exhibition Ground, Unit-I, Bhubaneswar.
925 Students and 142 Teachers from ST & SC Development Department run Sevashrams, Ashram Schools, and High Schools & Education Complexes from all the 30 districts have participated.
132 Students who have secured highest marks in HSC Exam- 2018 and 50 High Schools who have performed the best will be felicitated during the ‘SARGIFUL- 2018’.
