Odisha CM inaugurates ceremony of 7th edition of folk dance and music festival at Utkal Mandap in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Apr 3: Odisha CM announced on Sunday that there will be an increase of Rs 200 in the pension amount of 4000 Odisha artists who were earlier getting Rs 1000.

Patnaik inaugurated the three-day long cultural event. The inaugural evening of the festival featured jodi sanka (Ganjam), ghumura (Kalahandi), Paika akhada (Dhenkanal) and also other performances from Maharashtra. The CM also felicitated collectors of Ganjam, Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Nabarangapur for their outstanding efforts towards encouraging and promoting art and culture. Artists from 30 districts are participating in the dance and music fest that will be continue till Apr 4.
