Odisha CM Inaugurates National Road Safety Month

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi inaugurated the National Road Safety month in Odisha today. It was done in the Mahatma Gandhi marg in Bhubaneswar. A Pad yatra from Master canteen square to Ram Mandir was carried out for the same. The campaign for this year is ‘Come Home Safe’.

In the awareness march, the members of Transport department of Odisha, NCC volunteers and students of several schools and colleges, drivers and artists participated. Chief Minister Majhi administered an oath to all the participants citing the importance of road safety.

The artists presented an act based on the characters of Chitragupta and Yamaraj and spread awareness among the people. Minister of Road transport and Highways Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, Minister Krushna Mahapatra, Mayor Sulochana Das, MLAs, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Police DG Yogesh Bahadur Khurania were also present in the Road Safety programme.

The awareness was done to prevent the road accidents and maintain road safety in the road.
