Cuttack, Nov 10: Yesterday various Odisha Congress workers created a ruckus during a rally conducted by the Biju Janata Dal in Karikol village under Athagarh block here by showing black flags to the local MLA, Ranendra Pratap Swain and Urban Development Minister, Pushpendra Singh Deo.
It’s stated that the BJD leaders were going to attend the Biju centenary celebrations at Karikol School when the opposition Congress party workers clashed with BJD workers near Athagarh town police station and showed black flags to both the leaders. However, the cops present there brought the situation under control. Moreover, five Congress workers have been detained for doing so.
MLA Swain said that he is used to all such actions from the opposition and that he is not perturbed at all. He further said that he tours for 25 days a month and all such incidents keep on happening with him which need not be taken into consideration at all. UD Minister Singh Deo also claimed to have not noticed the opposition and refused to comment even though he has witnessed the clash between both the party workers.
