Bhubaneswar: In a bid to make all the villages empowered with the telecommunication and internet services, Odisha Chief Secretary GC Pati on Thursday suggested the telecom major BSNL to connect the panchayats with the broadband services in the State.
Inaugurating a programme at the premises of BSNL on its 16th annual ceremony on Thursday, Pati highlighted the significance of the broadband in the sector of public services, disaster management, crime control and administrative skill enhancement.
The BSNL yesterday felicitated Odisha’s singing sensation Ananya, who made the State proud winning the Indian Idol Junior at the national level competition. Winners of Seva Sanchar medal and Sanchar Sports medal organised by the telecom major were also honoured at the event.
