Odisha forms ministerial committee to study teachers’ issues

Bhubaneswar, Feb 15: State Government Saturday formed a ministerial committee to deliberate on the demands of the agitating teachers of 488 and 662 categories.

The committee, formed at the direction of Chief Minister will have Finance, Higher Education, Panchayati Raj, Technical Education and Energy Ministers as members to deliberate on the teachers demands.

Notably, the teachers who have been agitating for over a month and half, have threatened to boycott Plus II and Plus III examination and evaluation process if their demands are not met.

They have twice attempted to gherao the Chief Minister’s residence in the State Capital also.
