Dhenkanal: June 09: Four persons were killed and five others injured in a tragic incident on the outskirts of Odisha’s Dhenkanal town today as a wall of an abandoned rice mill collapsed.
Sources said, the four were crushed to death under the debris.
The wall collapsed when trading was underway at a weekly vegetable market near Alasua market.
The deceased have been identified as Rama Chandra Patra, Abhimanyu Biswal, Mayadhar Mallick and Sangram Sahu. They were all vendors selling vegetables at the market.
After getting information, the ODRAF and Fire Services team reached the spot and began rescue operation.
The injured ones have been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital. People in critical condition have been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
