Odisha gives a reminder to Chhattisgarh government to provide Mahanadi project detail report

Bhubaneswar, Aug 18: The fact that the Chhattisgarh government has still not given detailed information about the completed and upcoming projects to be constructed in the upper catchments of Mahanadi, the Odisha government has sent a reminder to the former. At the State Secretariat, chief secretary, Aditya Prasad Padhi informed that a meeting between the Odisha government and Chhattisgarh government over Mahanadi issue was held in New Delhi on July 29 in which the latter had assured to provide details regarding the proposed projects within a period of 15 days. Whereas, the BJD has decided to submit a temporary report on its recent visit to Chhattisgarh.

Meanwhile, the Odisha Bandh proving out to be immensely successful, the Congress has planned to prepare a road map to stage a series of agitations across the state on the Mahanadi issue. On the other hand, the BJP has decided to come up with a white paper on Mahanadi issue.
