Odisha Govt aims to make 8 lakh youths skilled in three years

Bhubaneswar: June 16: State Government of Odisha will launch the ‘Odisha Skill Development Authority’ on June 17 aiming to impart skill development training to 8 lakh youths in coming three years. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the launching event and the inaugural session will hold an interactive session where youths will get the chance to interact with successful personalities from different sectors like Subrato Bagchi, Sudarsan Patnaik and many others. Around 500 youths undergoing skill development training in different government Industrial Training Institutes will participate in the event. The state government has identified certain areas like hotel management, hospital management, driving, security management, tourist management, information technology and other kinds of Industrial trainings to make the youths skilled. In the meantime, Chairman of ‘Odisha Skill Development Authority’ Subrato Bagchi has visited all the 30 districts to get basic understanding on the ground.
