Bhubaneswar, Dec 27: Odisha government has directed officials to complete construction of roads, buildings and bridges on schedule and avoid cost escalation.
State chief Secretary AP Padhi has also asked the officials to ensure maintenance of quality during construction and use quality accessories in government office building and government quarters to prevent short circuits and other accidents.
He reviewed the progress in the construction of several important government buildings, Biju Expressway, Vijaywada-Ranchi Corridor and directed the officials to stick to the deadline of 2019 while stressing on the completion of Berhampur-Rayagada road and bridge on Bansdhara by June next year.
