Odisha Govt.Plans To Distribute 30 lakh flags for free

The country is observing its 75th year of democracy, which is widely being promoted as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by the Modi-led, Central Government which is leaving no stone unturned to make this occasion extremely remarkable. From the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative to ticket-free entry to historic monuments, the government is trying to ignite the spirit of nationalism in the people.

The opportunity is also not being missed by the state governments to participate in the race of patriotism. The government of Odisha has taken a step further and has decided to distribute 30 lakh handmade National Flags for free to the residents of the state.
The members of Mission Shakti have stitched the flags that would be distributed among the citizens to showcase the strength of the department and as a symbol of women’s empowerment. More than 300 SHG &PGs across 22 districts of the state were engaged in stitching the flags backed by aid from the state government.
The other Indian States have also taken different strategies to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign successful.
